Kenwood School encourages creative expression and the Spotlight offers students an opportunity to prepare and audition acts that they have selected, created and rehearsed. Spotlights showcase students singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, performing magic tricks, reciting poetry, telling jokes and doing gymnastics.

Each classroom holds an audition in the week before the Spotlight and selects three acts to perform at the Spotlight. There are seven Spotlights held throughout the school year and each classroom participates in three of the seven. Spotlights are held in the multipurpose room at either 8:00 a.m. or 12:30 p.m.
