  • A commitment to creating an "inviting" environment supporting individualized instruction where dignity and potential are at the forefront of everything we do
  • Media/technology center with Internet access from every classroom; IMAC lab; CCC lab for English Language Learners; ipad and chrombook carts in all grade 3-5 classrooms
  • Sound instruction and structures that support high standards in academics and continuous improvement for students and teachers
  • Staff participation in Professional Learning Communities where best practices are shared and research based techniques are studied to improve teaching
  • Curriculum enhancement: CONNECT Partnership with Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra; Arts for Academic Achievement; Art Adventures program with Minneapolis Institute of Arts; The Bakken Museum, Bell Museum, Mill City Museum and the Ordway

The Kenwood School Community fosters the development of the whole child and empowers children with life-long learning skills.

Kenwood School staff, parents and community provide a secure, nurturing environment that allows each student to know a complete sense of self, fully capable of learning all the skills that enables the student's full participation throughout life.
