My name is Jens Holmboe.  I graduated from the University of Minnesota with my teaching license in 2008.  I enjoy the parent support and involvement here at Kenwood. I view teaching and learning as an act of service.  The people who hold knowledge have a duty to help others. This fits well with cooperative learning research supporting the idea that a person learns more when they are able to clearly explain ideas.

I am the father of an eight-year-old and a four-year-old. I keep a calm and orderly classroom.  I expect students to work hard and work on being neat as the year goes on. Being organized is one of the signs of highly effective people.  Organization is a skill I teach through practice and patience.
