Ms. Klein

My name is Caitlin Klein, OTD, OTRL, and I am the School Occupational Therapist for Kenwood Elementary on Wednesdays and Friday for the 2020-2021 school year. I have been a school therapist for 4 years, serving at Kenwood Elementary since 2019. I graduated with my Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, TN where I developed my interests in mental health, trauma informed care, cultural competence and humility, and child development.  I always make sure to take a holistic approach to each child to help them best achieve their needs.

So just what is OT?  Occupational therapy in the school setting is focused on helping your child live their best lives through dynamic therapeutic sessions that help improve functioning of the mind, body, and spirit to improve a person's quality of life. For your child, that may be helping with fine or visual motor skills for writing and crafts, or self-regulation skills so that they can fully and meaningfully participate in their education.

Outside of work I love to take my dog to the park, work out, fish, play with my cat, and try new food and restaurants when possible. I am excited to be a part of the Kenwood family and look forward to getting to know you and your child! If you have any questions you can contact me at Caitlin.Klein@mpls.k12.mn.us
